We have tremendous and affordable community-owned spaces available for rent in Midsteeple Quarter on Dumfries High Street.
Whether for a pop-up shop, exhibition, music gig - everything in between and so much more - our three buildings available for hire offer fantastic versatility and value, each with their own character. Our ownership model also means that we are able to offer a variety of timespans for lets - ranging from a two days to longer term. We are always happy and able to discuss individual requirements.
The Press, The Smithy and 109 High Street are some of the most accessible and prominent sites in the town centre, with great footfall that those using the spaces can benefit from.

109 High Street
A well-established retail unit in a prominent position close to the corner of High Street and Bank Street. Offers great potential for short and longer-term use.
The Smithy
A hugely popular pop-up space for retail and exhibition. Its “white box” interior makes it suitable - and easily adaptable - for a wide variety of uses.
The Press
An ideal space for larger events and gigs, boasting a large “front shop” with atmospheric former warehousing space to the rear. Fantastic versatility.
Hire fees
As a community-owned organisation, we are committed to making our buildings affordable and accessible, while ensuring we have the means by which to maintain them in usable conditions.
Our daily hire rates are £25 Sunday to Friday and £50 on Saturdays. The minimum hire is two days. These fees are not inclusive of electricity costs, which are charged separately.
