Learning more about Midsteeple Quarter

A fantastic 40 members enjoyed a greater glimpse into much of the work ongoing throughout Midsteeple Quarter as part of our spring / summer engagement events.

We were delighted with the turnout to our tours of MSQ as well as our News and Views sessions, in which members had a chance to ask questions and discuss more about everything we have going on, as well as our plans for the future.

One person who took part in a tour said: “Midsteeple Quarter is carrying out its mandate very proficiently. The MSQ staff who conducted the tour were excellent - well-informed and well-prepared.”

Another added: “The size of the buildings was a surprise and how much work needs to be done. However it’s a long project and we’re impressed by the enthusiasm, future plans and vision.”

The events were part of our ongoing programme of community engagement.

Community Engagement Activator Kathryn Hill hosted the events and said: “We were really pleased with the turnout. It was brilliant seeing everybody and having the chance to chat with them. There were some great conversations across all six events.

“The tours gave those taking part the chance to see the condition of the properties owned by the community and see the scale of the challenge we face in maintaining them while planning ahead for redevelopment in years to come.

“We hope that everyone came away with a greater understanding of what we’re doing - and remind all of our members that we’re here to answer any questions they have at any time.”
